SORBA West Georgia - Bike Games and Enduro Event
This Enduro event will be an informal race format consisting of 5 stages and will only be timed on the downhill portions of the course. Riders are not timed between stages but they are required to complete all stages under their own power and within 3 hours. The rider with the fastest combined times on all 5 stages will be crowned the winner. There will be 3 categories including youth (under 19), men's, and women's. We will have prizes for the top 3 in each category. Although this event is free, we do ask that you make at least a $20 donation to SORBA West Georgia if you plan on participating.
IMPORTANT - Participants should already have an understanding of what an enduro race entails. The course we selected is NOT for beginners and includes lots of rocks, jumps, gaps, and drops. Riders are expected to be able to ride all features and should pre-ride the course well before the day of the event. Emergency personnel will be on hand if needed, but if you don't think you can handle the course, then don't signup as spots will be limited. The stages will be as follows...
Red Baron (Starting at the top traveling CW to Turtle back)
Riders will need to meet at the main Allatoona Creek Parking lot at 5690 Old Stilesboro Rd at 9:30 AM. We will quickly go over the rules, sign waivers and give out race plates. We encourage riders to bring their own hydration and protective gear, and of course all riders must wear a helmet. The event officially begins at 10:00 AM. Riders will go to MoFlo, then Red Baron, then back to Knuckle Sandwich, then 3rd Brigade, and finally Medusa. Due to timing constraints riders must complete the stages in this order. After all riders have completed the stages, times will be added up and winners will be announced back at the main parking lot. If you are interested in signing up please email Jcamp@sorbawestgeorgia.org. with your name, age, and telephone number to be added to our list. There will be a limited number of spots for this race. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me anytime.
